Macomb County Public Library Visits Graham and Lobbestael

Since Harrison Township residents do not have their own library, Anne Mandel, Children’s Librarian at the Macomb County Public Library (MCPL), will visit students at Marie C. Graham and Emma V. Lobbestael elementary schools to discuss the summer reading program the library offers.  Mandel will visit Graham on May 12 and 19 and Lobbestael on May 22 (morning) and May 30 all day.
Media Clerk Dawn Somerville received a grant from the American Library Association on the theme of Being Created Equal.  Graham Elementary students created illustrations and writings on the topic.  Their artwork will be displayed at the MCPL during May.  Since both schools are in Harrison Township, it is only fitting to do something with Macomb County Public Library because it’s the only free library the students can use, said Somerville.  For more information, contact Somerville at somerda@lc-ps.org.
