Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is an extra curricular activity for grades three, four, and five. We meet weekly to become experts in sixteen different areas that encompass physical, earth, and life science. Parents help by coaching events for the year. We have two competitions. The district competition is scheduled in April and the county is set in May. We can have a 15 member team for the county but are able to include up to 30 for the district. Besides the competitive events, the team is able to participate in open events that test scientific knowledge and reasoning on the competition days. Both days are challenging as well as fun for everyone. At this point in the year, we are just starting to get organized.
