Welcome to Fourth Grade!

    Hi!  Welcome to Chesterfield Elementary. My name is Mrs. Richardson and I have been teaching at Chesterfield for over 13 years!  The students at this school are the best!  Here is some information about me.

     I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachlor's Degree in education and a major in mathematics.  I acquired a Master's Degree from Saginaw Valley in early education and am planning on going back to school to earn an Education Specialist degree.  I feel a teacher has to continue learning to keep-up with the times. I have been teaching at Chesterfield Elementary for over 13 years and I love it!!!

I have three children. My oldest son graduated from Eastern Michigan and has a business and finance degree.   My second son has graduated from Central University and is also working in the business world as a financial advisor. My lovely daughter, Erika, is currently attending at Grand Valley State pursuing a career as a photographer.  I have an old cat (14 years old) named Kit Kat and Erika has a turtle named Narkus!

My passion is teaching and children.  I love children of all ages and feel this world would be better if we could all look at things through the eyes of a child!!  I believe teaching needs to be engaging, hands-on, and meaningful!
