All About me

     Thank you for checking out my web page!  I would like to take this opportunity to  introduce myself to you.  My name is Peggy Devich and I have been teaching here at Chesterfield Elementary School for the last 11 years. I taught third grade for six years and I have taught second grade for four years.  This is my second year teaching in 1-2 Multiage!  My teaching partner is Mrs. Loretta Rasmussen.  We have very similar teaching styles that keep our students engaged in learning.

     I received my teaching certificate from Oakland University in Rochester Hills.  I also went to graduate school at Oakland University where I received my master's degree in Reading and Language Arts.

     I am married to an elementary school teacher and we have two wonderful sons. We also have two adorable dogs!


     I absolutely love to teach the younger students in lower elementary because I get to use my master's degree and teach kids to read!  It is a real thrill to watch the kids as reading starts to click for them!
