Welcome to my website! I am a first grade teacher at Chesterfield Elementary. I graduated from Michigan State Universtiy with a degree in Child's Psychology. I went on to get my teaching degree from Sagniaw Valley State University. I have my Master's Degree from Marygrove College in Elementary Education. I have worked in a multitude of grades over the years and have enjoyed each one.
First grade curriculum is very exciting. It is wonderful to watch your student learning new concepts every day!

NOTE:
One important part of the math program is assignments called “Home Links”. Home links will not take much time to complete, but do involve interaction with an adult or an older child in the home.
Home links reinforce newly learned skills and concepts and allows time for thinking and practice. Please make sure that your child completes the assigned Home links each night. Home links are due on FRIDAYS!

Family
I have been in the teaching field for ten years and married for nine years. My step-son graduated from the fire academy this past November and will be taking his EMT classes this upcoming fall. The big baby in our family is our dog, Scout. He is a 150lb. black Newfoundland who thinks he rules the world. We spoil him rotten!
I enjoy reading and collect children's Christmas books. I also collect anything Disney and things Newfoundland.
