Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Kindergarten, Room 8! I would like to share a little about myself so that we may become better acquainted.  My name is Mrs. April Wakula, formally Ms. Agresta.  I have been teaching kindergarten in L’Anse Creuse since 1998.  I began my career at South River Elementary and then transferred to Carkenord upon its opening. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and then again from Saginaw Valley State University with a Master of Arts in Early Childhood. I have also earned an additional endorsement on my teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education.

It is my belief that open communication between parent and teacher leads to the success of all students.  I hope after reading through this packet, I was able to answer many of your questions and concerns. If not, please feel free to contact me if you have further questions. You may send a note with your child to school or email me at wakulap@lc-ps.org.  It is always my goal to give contact back that day, however, sometimes it may take an additional day or two for me to respond.
