Watch for the announcements in the Carkenord Chronicle!  Meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  Get involved and come join us as we have light refreshments to discuss upcoming events and school happenings.  All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend! Childcare is provided for school-aged children.

CARKENORD FAMILY COUNCIL

 

Family Council is a parent/teacher organization similar to a PTA or PTO.  It is a volunteer group of parents, teachers and administrators who work together to support the students who attend Carkenord Elementary.  Family Council's mission is to enhance the elementary educational experience of all students through the direct and indirect support of the students, the faculty and staff and the programs in the school.  Through these various programs, Family Council is also able to strengthen the community and add to the general sense of hospitality.  We are a dynamic group of new as well as seasoned parents who contribute energy and experience to improve the quality and commitment of the school.
