All About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my website! Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! I am looking forward to a very exciting and memorable year.

Here's a little bit about me. I grew up in Warren, MI.   After graduating from Warren Woods Tower High School I  attended Wayne State University.  I was proud to receive a full scholarship to play collegiate volleyball for the Tartars (now Warriors) and still enjoying playing on a competetive league. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and was hired in L'Anse Creuse in 1992.  Later I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education through Saginaw Valley State University.  I love being a member of the Atwood Family!  There is no better place to teach!

I come from a family of five.  I have an older sister  and a younger brother.   We are all born exactly 1 year, 10 months and 6 days apart.  I actually find that quite interesting. They have blessed me with one neice and three nephews.  My father still resides in Warren in the home that a grew up in.

I currently reside in New Baltimore where I own my own home.  My interests include scrapbooking,  playing volleyball, softball and golf. Most of my free time is spent happily hanging out with my neices and nephews.
