All About Me

Thank you for visiting my website!  I grew up in Mount Clemens, Michigan, and graduated from Mount Clemens Community Schools. I am an only child, and both my parents were teachers. I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Alma College. After graduating from Alma, I went to Michigan State University and earned my Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education.  I have taken courses at Saginaw Valley University towards a Master's Degree in Early Elementary Education, and plan to continue to take courses to complete my degree.  

I have been teaching in L'Anse Creuse Public Schools since 1999.  I taught kindergarten for five years, and this is my fifth year teaching first grade.  It is my fourth year teaching at Atwood.  

I currently live in St. Clair Shores with my husband, Matt. I am a step-mother of a 7 year old who is starting second grade this year. We also are the proud parents of 22-month old Brady, who will be turning two on Oct. 16.
