All About Me
Thank you for visiting my website! I grew up in Mount Clemens, Michigan, and graduated from Mount Clemens Community Schools. I am an only child, and both my parents were teachers. I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Alma College. After graduating from Alma, I went to Michigan State University and earned my Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education. I have taken courses at Saginaw Valley University towards a Master's Degree in Early Elementary Education, and plan to continue to take courses to complete my degree.
I have been teaching in L'Anse Creuse Public Schools since 1999. I taught kindergarten at Higgins Elementary, and first grade at Atwood. I currently live in St. Clair Shores with my husband, Matt. I am a step-mother of a 10 year old, Abbie, who is in fifth grade this year. We also are the proud parents of Brady, who turns five on Oct. 16.
If you ever have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me any time. I have attached my informational note regarding classroom procedures. Please read this note if you are interested. It answers a lot of the questions you may have about Room 106. In addition, I have attached a copy of the supply list. I also attached a high-frequency word list to use with your child for reference at home. Weekly, I will post my newsletter on this site as well.
