I grew up in Sanford, MI.  I attended Central Michigan University after graduation from Meridian Senior High School.  In May of 1999 I graduated with my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  My major is Child Development with a minor in math.  I finished my Masters of Elementary Education degree in May of 2006 at Saginaw Valley State University- Macomb Campus.

I moved to this area about eight years ago to be a long term substitute teacher in Kindergarten.  After substituting I became a parapro  in multiage and second grade.  From there I was hired as a fifth grade teacher.  I am in my seventh year of teaching fifth grade and I absolutely love it.  

I have been married for four years and my husband and I have a daughter.  

During my spare time I love to spend time with family, read, scrapbook, rubber stamp, and spend time outdoors.
