May 22nd, 2007 PTO Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order  @ 7:13 pm.

Previous Meeting Minutes: Motion to accept by Karen Taverner, 2nd by Christy Vought.

Treasurer's Report: Motion to accept by Karen Taverner, 2nd by Christy Vought.

Corn Roast:  We will have a Corn Roast instead of a fall Festival. It will take place on  September 21, 2007. This will be chaired by: Marie Zambelli. Bouncing Kids will provide free bouncy. Outdoor games for different age groups.  Mrs. Fanning to ask Mr. Starzyk and Senior' Francis if they will organize. Some games being considered are Egg toss, tug-a-war, cake walk, sack race, and hula hoop. The Food menu could be as follows: Corn, hot dogs, cider, coffee, donuts, and apples.

Jog-a-thon for 2007/2008 School Year: The Jog-a-thon will be held on September 28th, 2007, and the rain day will be October 4th, 2007. The chairperson of this fund raising event will be Sherry Watts. We will use envelopes for teachers, but computerize office a running log to make money collection easier to handle.

Basket Raffle:  We are looking at bringing the basket raffle back this year.

Calender of Events for 2007/2008 School Year: The events listed here are some possible activities for the Atwood Families this year: Quilt Idea, Award Tags, Basket Raffle, Book-it, Breakfast with Santa, donuts with Dad, Special B-days, PTO meeting with Snacks and Babysitting, Holiday Baskets, Volunteer Luncheon, Roller Skating Party, Muffin with mom, Movie nights, Kindergarten Open House, Jeanette Harms Scholarship, Holiday Santa Shop, Field Day, Easter Bunny Event.
