Research to Support What We Do
1. In short, students may not see a connection between the classroom and the workplace, and few schools or businesses were providing that connection (Star, 1998).
2. Research indicates that mastery learning facilitates student learning and often leads to higher achievement than more traditional approaches (Ormrod, 2004).
3. Emotion drives attention, and attention drives learning and memory. You're not going to learn anything if you're not paying attention to it. Our attention system determines what is important, and you never remember anything if it's not important (Cohen, 1995).
