Good Rules To Follow
- Never publish personal information; address, phone numbers, school name, employment location or hangouts.
- Never publish descriptive information, hair color, eye color, height, etc.
- It is best not to post photos, your real friends know what you look like.
- Never post your activities or schedule.
- Do not add friends to your site. Your friends are your classmates, neighbors and family members, friends are not people you meet online.
- Never meet anyone in person that you met on a social site. Some people are not who you think they are or who they pretend to be.
- Avoid posts to your profile that are negative or bullying, do not respond to them.
- The predator is a professional, they know how to "groom" you into believing whatever they tell you, be aware of this at all times.
- Review your journal/blog frequently.
- Remember what you post reflects on the type of person that you are now and over time.
- Do not post information about your friends, you could be putting them at risk.
