Donating Unused Cell Phones
Did you receive a new cell phone for Christmas? Are you wondering what to do with your old, unused cell phone? How about donating it to a worthy cause? You have several options available.
Below are a few ideas to get you started. Please be sure to deactivate your phone’s service before you donate it.
- Send your phone to Emma DeAngelis at L’Anse Creuse High School – North or Ann Hart at L’Anse Creuse High School. The phones are then donated to Turning Point. Turning Point is a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
- You can contact your cell phone provider to find out if they have a donation program.
- Contact your favorite charity and ask them if they can put your old cell phones to good use.
- Do a search on the Internet for “donating used cell phones.” You will find many charities that will be happy to take your phone.
- The CALL TO PROTECT® program collects donated wireless phones and either refurbishes the phones or sells them. The phones they refurbish are given to domestic violence victims to be used for emergency situations.
