TO FOOD, FRIENDS and FUN!

This school year is sure to be filled with fun and excitement at L’Anse Creuse Public Schools as Sodexho begins to provide the foodservice program in the school district’s 16 schools.

                At our Elementary School, meal service begins on September 4th in all schools and will include both breakfast and lunch.  The school district participates in the USDA National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, which means that all meals meet or exceed the guidelines and regulations for the School Meals Initiative for Healthy Children.  There also will be a la carte foods available during lunch.

                Our theme for this year’s food program is Food, Friends & Fun!  We’ve planned lots of exciting events to encourage the students to learn more about nutrition and healthy eating habits that will benefit them for a lifetime.

                Elementary school students will be greeted with the Kid’s Way Café, including a popular menu item called Fun on the Run.  It’s packed with nutrition and some of students’ favorite things for lunch.  Middle school students will find E.D.z (Energy Download Zone) with terrific graphics and a variety of healthy, energy-packed food choices.  High school students can look for their favorites in the CrossRoads Café.
