Grade Level and Content Area Benchmarks

Students at L'Anse Creuse Public Schools earn MEAP scores that are consistently among the highest in Macomb County. That success does not happen by accident. Grade level and content area objectives have been established to ensure that students will be taught specific concepts in math, reading, etc., throughout each year of K-12 education. This section expands that scope and sequence approach to the area of technology.

In this section, specific technology benchmarks are organized by grade level and/or content area. A symbol will indicate whether the benchmark is being introduced (I), reinforced (R), or should be mastered (M). The curriculum model is structured so that most all of the initial instruction takes places in a required course. On-going staff development and collaborative efforts will help assure that all students receive the necessary technology instruction.

We live in the Information Age. Therefore, technological abilities and needs of our students will be forever changing. The K-12 Technology Curriculum Committee recommends that the scope and sequence of the K-12 Technology Curriculum be reviewed and revised on a periodic basis.

This section is sub-divided by grade level and/or content area.
