L'Anse Creuse Public Schools prides itself on providing students a comprehensive elementary program that is based on Best Practice and national and state curricular standards. Programs designed to meet the individual and unique needs of children, meaningful learning experiences and powerful partnerships with parents and community enable every child to develop his or her potential as well as the attitudes and skills needed to be lifelong learners and productive members of a democratic society.

Each of our district's elementary school creates a learning community that motivates students to work collaboratively and purposefully. Children are provided with a predictable school environment that enables them to feel comfortable, safe, respected and appreciated. Students respect one another and support each other's learning, while taking responsibility for their own learning and behavior. They see themselves as well as their classmates as valued and contributing members of the school community.

Students are provided with meaningful learning experiences that enable them to question, hypothesize, investigate, explore and relate new information to prior knowledge. Instruction is designed to address a variety of learning styles and needs. Students are encouraged to explore topics, make guesses and take appropriate risks. They are given opportunities to make choices and, as a result, value their learning experiences because they are more personally meaningful to them.

Perhaps the greatest asset to L'Anse Creuse Public Schools is our relationship with the community. Parents and community are considered valuable partners and strong contributors to the overall mission of the school district; that is, to enhance the learning lives of our community's youngest citizens.
