Vocabulary Development
- Use words in Spanish to communicate concepts related to self, family and school-related topics.
- Use a Spanish-English/English-Spanish dictionary to find Spanish words and meanings.
- Use a variety of words to explain an idea.
Constructing Language
- Actively participate by contributing ideas in group discussions.
- Dramatize characters from a story using dialogue and creative reenactments.
Outcome 2: Count as high in Spanish as in English.
- Count, recognize numerals and read numbers nearly as high in Spanish as in English.
- Demonstrate real world counting and number knowledge through money exchanges and other simple situations.

- Learn about people from various cultures and parts of the world who have made significant contributions to their chosen fields.
