L’Anse Creuse Foundation Awards $8,000 in Scholarships
The L’Anse Creuse Foundation awarded $7,000 in academic, vocational and community service scholarships to 10 seniors during the high schools’ honors convocations in May. In addition, two $500 scholarships were awarded to adult education graduates on June 16.
Zlata H. and Kevin K. from L’Anse Creuse High School and Katherine N. and Angela S. from L’Anse Creuse High School – North received $1,000 in academic scholarships each.
Eric B. and Shawn H. of L’Anse Creuse High School and D.J. M. and Bradley H. of L’Anse Creuse High School – North each received vocational scholarships of $500.
The Foundation also granted two $500 Presidential Freedom Scholarships for community service to Nicholas A. at L’Anse Creuse High School and Amber L. at L’Anse Creuse High School – North.
The adult education scholarships of $500 each were awarded to Colleen W. and Shelly T.
The L’Anse Creuse Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that provides funds to L’Anse Creuse Public Schools’ students for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing their educational opportunities.
