L'Anse Creuse Board Fills Vacancy
The L’Anse Creuse Public Schools’ Board of Education appointed Charles Eslinger of Harrison Township to the vacant trustee board position Wednesday, November 7, 2007. The appointment was made due to the untimely passing of long-term trustee, Edward March. Chuck has been a vital resource and advocate for public education and, in particular, L’Anse Creuse, for many years, states Superintendent DiAnne Pellerin.
Eslinger has resided in Harrison Township for over 20 years. He and his wife, Moira, have raised two sons that attended L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. He has actively served on the L’Anse Creuse Foundation Board since 2000, currently as Foundation president. Eslinger’s community minded spirit is exemplified through his membership in the Macomb County Fire Chief’s Association, Macomb County Police Chief’s Association, and participation in the Community Action Coalition’s Dialogue Day. He has been employed by Consumers Energy since 1979 in various capacities and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
“We are excited about the addition of Chuck, who has actively supported L’Anse Creuse while serving in various capacities, particularly on the L’Anse Creuse Foundation Board, Pellerin added.
