All three daughters graduated from L’Anse Creuse. One is a teacher at Middle School - Central with a daughter attending Marie C. Graham Elementary. My wife is a retired L’Anse Creuse kindergarten teacher. I feel I know and understand what has made our district unique and very special. One of my main objectives will be to protect and preserve the district’s traditions that have served L’Anse Creuse so well.”

Goals as a Board member: “I am aware of the impact that state and federal mandates are having on our schools, the need for research-driven curriculum decisions, and necessary capital improvements. This is not the first time our schools have faced a crisis. My goal as a board member will be to help find new and innovative ways to guide our district through this current crisis without jeopardizing the programs that have made L’Anse Creuse a unique and very special district.”
Areas of concerns for the district in the next five years: “We need to work hard to maintain our exemplary programs and our trust with our L’Anse Creuse school community. We are a growing district and change is inevitable. We must find ways to improve and meet state and federal mandates. My goal is to make L’Anse Creuse an even better school district in the near future.”
Additional comments: “I feel that one of the great strengths of L’Anse Creuse has always been its diversity. Diversity of our student population and the diversity of our staff. This diversity has allowed L’Anse Creuse to arrive at solutions to our problems that are very different than those arrived at by our surrounding districts. I have always been amazed at the creativity of our student population and of the ability and flexibility of our staff to meet new challenges. We all want the same thing: A District of Excellence.”
