Donald R. Hubler
Personal: Married 23 years with two children, both graduates of L’Anse Creuse High School, attending Michigan Universities. Retired from the City of St Clair Shores as Director of Public Works and Water Department.
Why did you run for the school Board? I want to work to help assure that all of our children are provided the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Expertise you bring to the Board: As Director of Public Works of a local municipality I had the opportunity to develop long term planning policies and prepare complex departmental budgets. I have worked with various governmental agencies and volunteer organizations in the community.
Goals as a Board Member: To support the effort of our staff to offer a broad curriculum, creating an atmosphere for our students to succeed. To continue to improve our facilities and work to create financial stability, in order to provide a safe and secure work environment.
Areas of concern for the School District: Our School Community must find ways to meet the new State education requirements while providing a quality education that challenges each of our students and helps prepare them for their future education and career.
